Battenfeld Wheeler Action Wrench # 2 Remington 700

Position action wrench handle so the semi-circular cutout is resting on top of the receiver opposite the front trigger guard screw threaded hole. Place wrench head on handle. Install the 1/2-20 x 2-1/2 machine screws finger tight. Insert the 1/4-28x1 machine screw in the wrench head and thread into front trigger guard screw threaded hole finger tight. Tighten the 1/2-20 machine screws carefully. Use only enough torque to hold the head snug against the receiver ring (35-40 ft. lbs.). Caution: too much torque can smash or bend the receiver. Tighten the 1-4-28x1 machine screw until snug (5-8 ft. lbs.). Turn the Action Wrench to remove the action from the barrel.
